We begin our safari in Cape Town. There may be only one other corner of the planet that offers the beauty and the climate of Santa Barbara. That place is South Africa’s Cape Peninsula. Our visit will include two one-day tours – Cape Point and the Cape Winelands. We will also visit Robin Island where Nelson Mandela spent over twenty years as a political prisoner.
Our safari includes the annual event in Namaqualand, where once a year the desert blooms with millions of wild flowers.
A safari in South Africa would not be complete without spending a few days viewing the wildlife at a private game reserve. Our safari will visit two game parks in search of “the big five.”

You arrive today in Cape Town, South Africa. There is no place on the planet that compares with the Cape Peninsula. You will be met and transferred to our luxury hotel where you will meet the rest of our group.
We have the morning free to relax and rest our mind and body. Lunch will be at the hotel with our local guide and host for our time in South Africa. After lunch, we take a one-half day tour of this magnificent city. As part of our tour, we will visit Robbin Island where Nelson Mandela was imprisoned for over twenty years prior to being elected the first democratically elected president in South Africa. Dinner will be on your own account tonight.
We leave this morning with our guide and spend a full day touring the Cape Point Nature Reserve and the Cape of Good Hope. We end our day in the Cape Winelands where we spend two nights. Our hotel is famous for its fine cuisine. Dinner will be on your own account this evening.
